Of the 102 ASCs in the five-county region of Philadelphia, 76 had a profit in 2022, while 26 lost money, according to an Oct. 3 report from the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Five ASCs in the area generated profits of over $4 million in 2022, while five lost more than $2 million, according to the latest financial report of outpatient care facilities issued by the Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council.

Overall, ASCs in the state saw an 8 percentjump in revenue from the previous year.
