When it comes to cybersecurity, companies may believe that the more tools and safeguards they have in place, the harder it is for attackers to breach their defenses. However, according to tech pros, some commonly leveraged solutions don’t actually offer much protection or can be easily evaded by attackers. Further, redundant or poorly integrated security solutions can create complexity, increase operational costs and even introduce new vulnerabilities.

Simply adding more and more “standard” tools to a cybersecurity stack may not only fail to enhance security, but may also obscure weaknesses.
