By now, we all know that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released what it calls an “improved” Medicare Plan Finder. As of October 1, this will be the only plan finder for Part D and Medicare Advantage plan reviews.

I have spent the last month familiarizing myself with this tool. Here are some issues I discovered.

Missing information makes plan review and selection very difficult.

These features are in the current or Legacy Plan Finder but they cannot be found in the new Plan Finder.
