Whether through new patient towers, acquisitions or adding staff beds, many of the largest health systems in the U.S. are on an upward growth trajectory. Below is a list of the 40 largest health systems by number of hospitals and 60 largest hospitals by number of beds. Data was compiled by the Becker’s Healthcare editorial team based on organization websites as of December 2024.
