Oracle Cerner, the nation’s second-largest hospital EHR vendor, had a bustling 2022. For one, it got a new name — and owner.

Here are the top 10 moves from Oracle Cerner this year:

1. Software giant Oracle completed its $28.4 billion acquisition of Cerner in June.

2. The company renamed its EHR division Oracle Health, first reported in July based on an internal company email.

3. Cerner generated $1.5 billion in revenue for Oracle in the second quarter of 2022, playing a strong role in Oracle’s overall quarterly sales, which exceeded analysts’ estimates, according to a Dec. 12 earnings report from Oracle.

4. Oracle Cerner partnered with life sciences company Labcorp in November to manage hospital-based laboratories in 10 states.
