As more countries begin to move out of COVID-19 lockdown, there’s a growing need to control the spread of the disease that balances privacy with the ability to quickly identify anybody who may have been exposed to it.

Even with a disease as contagious as COVID-19, we should remember that the situation is better than three months ago: now, a significant part of the population has adopted precautionary measures such as using masks or practicing social distancing, and this, together with a strategy of extensive testing, should be sufficient to prevent it spreading.
