The VA’s first EHR Modernization deployment went off with very few IT issues as they now move onto the Midwest region.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) EHR Modernization (EHRM) implementation at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane, WA and subsequent two weeks have been a resounding success, according to Federal News Network.

“Today I’m happy to report that the first installment of this new system went extremely well,” said Pamela Powers, acting deputy secretary at VA. “As we transition to the new health record in Mann Grandstaff and nearby rural clinics, veterans receive seamless care. No veteran’s treatment suffered as we moved to the new system.”
