The performance and health of applications and associated infrastructure are riddled with analyst acronyms like ITOM, ITIM, AIOps and more. While operations teams are often charged with keeping various IT and supporting services running smoothly, business owners are often laser-focused on the health of customer-facing applications. Since enterprise organizations are all at varying levels of maturity with respect to implementing the latest rendition of “modern” applications, monitoring vendors employ a wide variety of capabilities to handle specific customer scenarios, and because of this, there is no one-size-fits-all solution for an enterprise wanting to ensure application health.
