CMS Administrator Seema Verma hinted at one of her goals for the future of healthcare during the agency’s Blue Button 2.0 Developer Conference Aug. 13 in Washington, D.C., according to FedScoop.

At the conference, CMS encouraged developers to create software built with Blue Button 2.0, an open application programming interface tool that allows third-party apps and services to connect to Medicare claims data.
