– Eleven percent of providers said they don’t have adequate resources or training to support patient safety, despite the fact that reducing patient harm is at the crux of creating a positive patient experience, according to new data from the Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare.

Creating a positive patient experience has become an essential part of medical practice, with most providers putting that goal front and center alongside delivering quality care at a low cost. Patient safety is at the core of the patient experience promise, with most clinicians agreeing that experiencing a physical or emotional harm during a hospital stay can be detrimental.
