ONC released more than 100 TEFCA draft comment letters from stakeholders including health information exchanges, hospitals, and public health agencies.

ONC recently released over 100 comment letters from stakeholders offering input to inform the development of the federal agency’s Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA.)

TEFCA represents an effort to implement provisions of the 21st Century Cures Act and push the healthcare industry closer to its goal of achieving true interoperability nationwide.

The draft outlines a common set of principles, terms, and conditions that support a common agreement intended to enable nationwide exchange of electronic health information (EHI) across different health information exchanges (HIEs) and networks.
