Earlier this week, Forbes Under 30 listmaker Adam Sachs eagerly awaited the first trade of his surgical robot company Vicarious Surgical under the ticker RBOT on the New York Stock Exchange. “It’s honestly a dream come true,” said Sachs, now the ripe old age of 30, told Forbes on Friday in advance of trading.

The MIT alum officially launched Vicarious in 2014 with his college buddy, Sammy Khalifa, and Dr. Barry Greene. Their goal: To make abdominal surgery faster, easier and subject to fewer complications, starting with hernia repairs. Currently, the surgical robotics market...
