The multiyear partnership brings together advanced technology and industry expertise to help researchers analyze interpret a large amount of data and further biomedical innovations.

Microsoft, Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and Verily, an Alphabet company recently announced a strategic partnership to accelerate biomedical innovations through the Terra platform.

Terra is a secure, scalable, open-source platform for biomedical researchers to access data, run analysis tools, and collaborate.

Using the Tera platform, companies will analyze data from over 168,000 of Microsoft’s health and life science partners to advance development of global biomedical research, boost access to data, and empower the open-source community, Microsoft stated.
