The first behavioral health teaching hospital in Florida will open in March.

Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital, Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Health and Tampa-based USF Health Morsani College of Medicine held a grand opening for the facility Feb. 25. The TGH Behavioral Health Hospital will open to patients in March, according to a Feb. 25 news release.

The facility, a joint venture between Tampa General and Lifepoint, has 96 beds. Inpatient treatment at the hospital will open first, with partial hospitalization and outpatient programs available in the next few months, according to the release.
