Food insecurity and social isolation are bigger drivers of patient-reported “unhealthy days” than traditional clinical diagnoses of chronic conditions, according to Andrew Renda, M.D., M.P.H., associate vice president of population health at Humana.

Renda was participating in an Aug. 7 webinar, hosted by David Nace, M.D., chief medical officer of health data insights platform vendor Innovacer, that also included David B.
