Off-site virtual scribes employed by Yale New Haven Health Northeast Medical Group cut in half the time spent by physicians on patient-visit notes and reduced the physician-contributed character count from 100% before implementation to just 10% after, while doubling high-value note contributions by physicians.
In response to increasingly complex work–life integration challenges and rising concerns regarding physician burnout, Yale New Haven Health Northeast Medical Group implemented a virtual scribe program for ambulatory clinics.
