— We don’t need a monument — we need to be safe at work (and I don’t mean PPE)

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to ravage this country, healthcare providers have been on the frontlines of the response. Doctors, nurses, and countless others are perceived as heroes by the general public because they are risking their wellbeing on a daily basis to help their patients. There have been numerous calls for how Congress can properly thank healthcare workers, including hazard pay and even a national monument to healthcare workers.
