Funding aims to address social determinants of health exacerbated by the coronavirus, like food security, housing security, and job loss or insecurity.

A $75,000 grant from Molina Healthcare aims to support social services targeting key social determinants of health ailing the South Carolina-area health system’s practice area.

Specifically, the grants will help individuals experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, and job loss or insecurity.

This comes as the novel strain of the coronavirus, COVID-19, rampages the United States and shines a light on the social determinants of health that impact patient health.
