Five years ago, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation announced a new vision to build a Culture of Health, in which health is a national priority, valued and advanced by collaborators from all sectors. Since then, the Foundation has funded investigator-initiated and solicited research that explores system innovations, policies, laws and regulations, and community dynamics that shape health and well-being in US communities.

The findings of this research have been published in several themed issues of Health Affairs (Culture of Health; Culture Of Health, Medicare & More; Culture Of Health, The ACA & More). At the same time, the Foundation has also worked with AcademyHealth to hold an annual research meeting aimed at enriching this evidence base. First held in 2016,...
