Judy Faulkner believes the proposed rule will result in app makers gaining access to patient data without consent.

Epic Systems CEO Judy Faulkner urged hospital executives on Wednesday to take a stand against the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) proposed regulations that are intended to make it easier to share medical information, according to a CNBC report.

Proposed in February 2019, the rule supports patients accessing and sharing their electronic health information, allowing them the ability to coordinate their own healthcare.
