From plans to join an interoperability task force to furthering its precision medicine aspirations, here are six updates on Epic’s operations, software products and partnerships reported by Becker’s Hospital Review in June.

  1. Ann Arbor-based Michigan Medicine said it will enhance its EHR system with 19 new Epic System modules as part of a three-phase, six-year program aimed at improving the quality, safety and efficiency of care for patients. The program, which started in July 2021, is set to be completed by the end of fiscal year 2023.
  2. New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System said it is transitioning its Epic EHR system to Microsoft Azure and using the cloud service for much of its operation.
