Now connected to eHealth Exchange, HIE Networks and its clients can now connect to over 75 percent of hospitals across the country.

eHealth Exchange, the nation’s largest health information exchange (HIE), announced its first vendor connection, HIE Networks, an HIE service provider. This is set to considerably expand the number of organizations that can connect to eHealth Exchange.

Until now, eHealth Exchange has connected to 75 percent of all US hospitals, over 60 regional or state HIEs, and four government agencies. Because HIE Networks is a health IT and communications vendor that provides HIE services to its customers, its connection with eHealth Exchange will allow for a seriously expanded footprint.
