The House overwhelmingly passed legislation to pause cuts to Medicare payments to help providers still facing financial challenges due to COVID-19.

The House passed the legislation 384-38 on Tuesday that pauses a 2% cut on Medicare payments through the rest of the year. The cuts, created originally under the sequester, were paused by Congress last year due to the pandemic.

The legislation now heads to the White House, where President Biden is expected to sign it.
