From suing — and getting sued by — the FTC, to naming a new chief legal officer, here are 10 updates on Cigna and its subsidiaries that Becker’s has reported since Aug. 28:

1. The Federal Trade Commission is suing Cigna’s Express Scripts, CVS Caremark, UnitedHealth’s Optum Rx, alleging the pharmacy benefit managers are inflating insulin prices. Cigna, CVS and UnitedHealth are asking FTC Chairwoman Lina Khan and FTC Commissioners Alvaro Bedoya and Rebecca Kelly Slaughter to rescue themselves from the case, alleging “serious bias” against PBMs.

2. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit against major insulin manufacturers and PBMs, including Cigna’s Express Scripts, over an alleged conspiracy to increase insulin prices.
