Cerner has established a team of 24 technology businesses to support its work with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Former VA Secretary David Shulkin, MD, released the agency’s plan to scrap VistA for a systemwide Cerner EHR during a news briefing in mid-2017. The VA has since finalized a $10 billion contract to implement a Cerner EHR over a 10-year period, beginning with test sites in 2020.
