The goal is to build out a data acquisition and interoperability platform to help clients reduce administrative burden, boost revenue and drive quality improvements, Availity’s CEO said.

Availity on Tuesday announced its plan to acquire Diameter Health, which develops technology for clinical data quality and interoperability.

WHY IT MATTERS
Availity, the nationwide health information network, plans to integrate Diameter Health’s Upcycling Data technology into its own clinical data gateway, with the goal to build out an interoperability platform for clinical and claims data.

The companies hope to complete the transaction during the third quarter of 2022; additional terms of the deal were not disclosed.
