American Hospital Dubai is teaming up with Cerner to open the health system’s first artificial intelligence research center in support of clinical AI and data analytics initiatives.

American Hospital Dubai, part of the Mohamed & Obaid Al Mulla Group, expects to launch the center over the next three to six months, Serif Beshara, CEO of Mohamed & Obaid Al Mulla Group, said in a news release. The research center will use Cerner’s EHR data and clinical AI and data analytics tools to create Centers of Excellence for oncology, infectious disease and bariatric medicine.
