Several federal agencies announced the release of a tool that will build off existing environmental justice indexes to create a single source for public health officials to identify areas most at risk for health impacts and environmental burden

On Aug. 10, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), in conjunction with the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Environmental Justice, announced the release of the Environmental Justice Index (EJI) via a press release.
