Ciitizen’s latest patient record scorecard shows providers are increasingly giving patients seamless access to their health record, but half are still not compliant with HIPAA Right of Access.

Ciitizen released an update to its initial Patient Record Scorecard, showing that while the percentage of providers giving patients seamless access to their health records is increasing, about 51 percent are still failing to comply or require significant intervention to comply with the HIPAA Privacy Rule’s right of access.

The scorecard includes both refreshed scores from the initial providers, as well as scores from 150 new providers. In total, 210 providers were scored between February 10 and September 30, 2019. Researchers also surveyed nearly 3,000 healthcare organizations. The scores are based on...
