The Kaiser Family Foundation estimated May 10 that 5.3 million to 14.2 million people could lose Medicaid coverage at the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency.

The public health emergency is scheduled to run through July 15. The Biden administration has said it will give states a 60-day notice before the public health emergency expires.
